New Projects + Facebook

Its been a busy few days. I started and completed a second backpack. My oldest daughter decided that she just had to have one in pink. Luckily, since I knew what I was doing this time, I had no issues completing the project at all. I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Candy Print.

I also wanted to make me a hat. I had found this pattern for a Peek-a-Boo Flower Hat that I thought was cute. I made the hat and then decided at last minute before I started working on the flowers that I just didn’t want to add the flowers to my hat. I liked the simple net-like form that it had without the flower. I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Lavender to complete the hat:

I have not yet blocked my shawl yet but that picture should hopefully be coming soon! I have one other major project in the works that I have been working on for a couple of months. Its slow going but I am hoping to finish it up within the coming months.

My favorite football team is the Mississippi State Bulldogs (Go Dawgs!) and I wanted to make a double crochet wave afghan like my grandmother used to make in the colors of MSU (maroon and white). I am using Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Burgundy and White to complete my afghan. Here’s a picture of what I have done so far:

Other than completing the afghan, I am soon going to be adding a bit of sewing to my projects. I am looking forward to this new venture in the world of crafting.

Also, I am on Facebook with my own little page. So if you would like to, you can follow me on Facebook!
